Landscape Crew Lead/Resource Technician
(Bend/Central Oregon)
$15.00 – $17.00/hour depending on knowledge and experience
Part-time 15–20 hours or Full-time 35–40 hours/week
Seeking experienced person(s) with technical support in western native plants, botany, soils and CAD mapping. Entry level landscape architects are encouraged to apply. Experience with native plants, identification, installation and soils are needed for crew leaders to assist the designer in sourcing and placing plants, installing designs, managing natives in our demonstration garden and interpreting soil biology on client properties. In addition to technical support, this position will round out our professional enthusiastic landscape team who are committed to learning and implementing sustainable/organic gardening practices. Skills/experience needed to solve and repair irrigation problems, build rain gardens, construct raised garden beds, add soil amendments, remove sod, plant natives and create trails. Experience using trenches, sod cutter, saws, garden tools, etc. preferred. We also manage a demonstration garden with integrated permaculture practices that can be applied here.

Must have valid Oregon driver’s license and clean driving record, pass a drug test, pass criminal history check, driving record check. Must have ability to do physical labor and other strenuous repetitive physical tasks; easily lift 50lbs, stand, stoop, kneel and material handling for extended time periods. The season runs approximately March through November in all types of weather, so a positive attitude is essential.
